Giving

“Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” (2 Cor. 9:7)

Why do we Give?
At Northside,
- We believe that giving is an act of worship: an expression of our love and gratitude for God’s amazing generosity to us.
- We believe giving back a portion of what God has entrusted to us is an act of obedience.
- God tells us as believers to give to our local Church.
- We give in part, for our own personal growth. Giving regularly and sacrificially to God’s work reminds us of who we really depend on.
- Your gift makes a worldwide impact. NS runs 100% of the generosity of those who make up the church.
- It’s what helps us keep the lights on, providing programs for our church, and resources for our community, support local organizations doing great work in our community, as well as mission work around the world.
- 5% of everything that NS receives goes directly to missions work around the world.
- Northside could not exist without the faithful giving of those who make up the Church. We are so thankful for your faithfulness and participation in this way, which helps the work and ministry of the Church move forward.
What Do I Give
“Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test!”
(Malachi 3:10)
Jesus sat down near the collection box in the Temple and watched as the crowds dropped in their money. Many rich people put in large amounts. Then a poor widow came and dropped in two small coins. Jesus called his disciples to him and said, ‘I tell you the truth, this poor widow has given more than all the others who are making contributions. For they gave a tiny part of their surplus, but she, poor as she is, has given everything she had to live on.’
(Mark 12:41-44)
